I posted a question on February 10 regarding new maple floors (3/4") that were rippling. Contractor and flooring sub came out and the flooring sub was extremely upset by the appearance of the floors. Moisture readings showed +10% differential between subfloor and maple planks. Recommendation is to wait until April when weather settles and we dry out my crawl space (install fan and put down 6 mil plastic). Then, they will sand and refinish and if necessary reinstall.
Though I do not look forward to going through the process again, contractor has agreed to pay for hotel stay and they are being very accomodating. A testament to the true professionals out there.
Thank you for your insight. It is very much appreciated.
