My flooring project is progressing at less than break-neck speed. The ol' knees and lower back aren't what they used to be. I should have done all this 15 years ago. Thanks to everyone here who has helped, I think I've gotten off to a good start and so far I am pleased with the results.

Starting in the middle of the room was just the ticket to ensure that the living room boards lined up nicely with those in the office. It would have been difficult if not impossible to do so if I had started along the long wall leading into the hallway. Thanks again to those who nudged me in that direction.

Starting in the middle did lead to some difficulty as I approached the long wall and will again as I approach the stairway and fireplace. I have some more questions on both but will post them in separate threads.

With another 600-800 sq ft still yet to go, any comments and/or critiques on my work to date would be welcomed. ZT

What kind of flooring is that? Looks to be a prefinished, distressed oak of some type. Who is the manufacturer?

Yes Gary...
This is prefinished Bruce 3/4 x 3-1/4. Bruce # CR3455. It is sold through different outlets as either Gentry Plank or Ellington Plank. It is a mixture of red and white oak.
