I have a Paslode cordless 16 ga. angled finish nailer. Will this work for face nailing 3/4 prefinished hardwood 2.25 in wide?

Those are good finish nailers. I am not fond of 16 gauge finish nails. I much prefer 15 gauge DA style. But I am sure it should work. You may have difficulty if installing very hard woods like jatoba, mesquite or ipe.

I use mine for that. I do however glue the groove as well any time I face nail and add construction adhesive for the transition pieces.

I'm a little confused by your post - do you use the 15 or the 16 ga for face nailing?

It is 16 Ga., though I do use wood glue in the joints when I do. Additionally, under transitions I use constructions adhesive as well.

I use the 16 ga and 18ga Paslode Impulse. The angled nailer works better for diagonals or nailing up where the base shoe will cover the face nail. Never understood why Paslode does not offer a 15ga Impulse.
