Many consider the Lagler Hummel to be the best belt style floor sander available. I own one and I like it for many reasons. The Bona ProSand is another that is thought of highly as is the Clarke Floor Crafter. What is suggested is to see if you can try to use these prior to deciding which one is right for you. A local distributor will often allow a customer to try them out before purchasing. Choosing a good machine doesn't take the place of learning good sanding techniques however. If your new at this, consider joining the NFWA and attending a class on sanding and finishing.
