I have an 8-year-old Ironbark hardwood floor finished with tung oil. It has a few scratches but nothing deep and is showing normal wear on the high traffic areas, but overall looks pretty good so I'm thinking this is more of a refresh than a refinishing.

Can I just give it a good clean with hot water rather than strip it back with chenical cleaners or even sand it which given the floor condition seem a bit excessive.

I've been told a 1 to 1 ratio of thinner to oil is recommended, is this correct or just a guide and should I start with a thinner or thicker ratio and test that on a normally hidden part of the floor?
