Floor popping and creaking!

(I posted this in the "problems" forum too)...

My newly-installed Kahrs engineered woodloc floor pops very loudly when I walk on it -- around the entire perimeter of the room. The noise seems to be coming from underneath the floor.

Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this?

P.S. It's a floating floor; I forgot to mention that.

what kind of underlayment did you use?

Actually, I used a "floating floor pad" made by Ecotimber.

Pull the trim molding off one wall and see if that takes care of it along that wall.
