It seems like there would be an easy solution to this but I can't seem to think of one. Basically, I have two rooms that are seperated by a wall that has an archway in the middle of it to connect the rooms. The 3/4 solid flooring will be laid perpendicular to this wall, with boards going through the archway opening from one room to the other.
No, my question is, how do I do this? I'm going through my head and I don't know how I would go through the archway into the other room and then continue the boards in both directions (to the outer walls of the 2nd room) because I would only have access to the tongues of the boards for nailing by going in one direction....and if I laid down the boards on the outerwall of both the rooms, how the heck would I be sure that by the time each side clears the seperation wall, the boards would be lined up to continue through the archway?!
I hope I am explaining this right. At this point it almost seems easier to just put in a header board under the archway and treat the two rooms as tho they are seperate-but I'm not sure if that would look good.
