I'm not sure these two things mix well. I have all-heart American Black Cherry flooring 8" x 12' planks. I want to install it as optimally as possible to protect it. I'd also like radiant floor heat.
I understand wide planks are temperamental. I will be glueing and nailing the cherry to a plywood subfloor. The heating lines would be under this 1" subfloor.
The floor will be quite massive and will resist temperature changes, which is a good thing, and I also would think good for the floor.
Anyone see a risk with in-floor heating this type of floor?
Thanks much!
