I have finished laying down the last of my hardwood flooring. 3/4 by 3 1/4 white red oak mixture. I have filled in all of my knot holes etc. After sanding I was interested in a clear coat water based.

What are my options for brands ? Bona distributors are miles from me. Home Depot or Lowes are about 1 hr away.

What do I use as an applicator? 3 or 4 coats? What grit do I use between the 1st and 2nd coats?

thanks
Tina

tung seed oil, it will last for generations and it will be easy maintenance, fix any scratches with a wet rag

The top gloss of varnish or polyurethane will have that smooth, glassy look that you want only if you build up to it slowly, in multiple paper-thin layers (usually three to six coats).
