What is with installers within the Chicago Area!!?? Next time I will do it myself..

Dang, if Chi-town wasn't so windy and cold, I'd move there and clean up do to that fact that there seem to be so few qualified installers there. However, CA. is so comfortable, weather-wise; and the pay ain't too bad either.

No doubt! You could have a profitable business in Illinois if you had knowledgeable installers, and ethical owners.The problem is money, people start out well minded, then try to push thier margins to the max, in doing so they forget about thier origional objective problem start.

Understand your objective, keep growth reasonable, and maintain your ethics, then you will become financially comfortable, a good person, and well respected!

I wish you would come here. A person who took pride in their work could clean house here. Most, including myself would pay a premium for such a good installer.

We'll see, but I already work about as much as I like to and my family is all here. Plus we got the great weather (between the earthquakes ). But ya never know where life may lead you!
