Take a tapping block and apply the double sided tape on the bottom of the block, then peel the protective layer of the tape off the bottom of the block. The idea is to be able to use a taping block that is secured to the surface of the plank, ( obviously , typically you use a tapping block on the edge of a plank, we cant get to the edge, so we're going to secure it to the TOP of the plank. The block you use will have to be totally flat, so it adheres well to the plank surface. You'll have to experiment with getting the block to adhere well to the surface of the plank, ( you may need to use a few layers of tape on the block, so it seats well and sticks secure on the plank surface).
I would place the block in the middle of the plank, and tap groove to tongue. Where there's a v-gap going up to an end seam, place the block in the middle of the plank, perpendicular to the end seam , like there's an imaginary line from the end seam splitting the block in half, ( I hope that didnt thoroughly confuse you ). Where the gap runs the the length of a plank...start at one end of the gap and work your way accross.
Have someone stand ,with as much pressure as they can, on the tongue edge,( trying to push down on the tongue) , as you tap the groove into the tongue. The idea by putting the down pressure on the tongue is so the top of the tongue doesn't get smashed inbetween the seam. If you get a little bit of tongue smash... carefully clean it out of the seam with a sharp utility knife. It may look intimidating, but it should engage together
