I have a room that is completely level/flat until a certain point. At this point (behind the entrance to the room), the floor has a slight grade up. The grade is 3/4" per foot for about 5 feet. The portion is flat, but obviously not level. Is there any way the floor can be installed in this room as is - perhaps by changing directions of the wood install at this point? Or do we need to somehow grind down/sawcut this section to make the entire floor flat and level?

3¾ in 5 feet?? You need to do a lot of work on the structure, or carpet will be your only flooring that will ride over that.

That's what we figured. We're going to try to level out this weekend. I have a feeling I should buy stock in an diamond blades before I undertake this little project...
