Hi all,

I've got porcelain tile laid in my porch. Starting at the end of the tile, I intend to start with hardwood, which will meet the tile lengthwise. If at all possible, I'd rather not face nail for aesthetic reasons... would it be acceptable to use PL400 then shoot a couple of brads down through the tongue?

I was thinking of gluing/blind nailing the first few rows in this manner then going on down the hall with a flooring nailer.

Thanks!

Yes, but make sure the board doesn't move when you blind nail through the tongue. You could glue it down first, wait for the glue to dry, then blind nail. That way, less chance of the first board going off line, if there is a line. Maybe your butting to the tile.

Thanks, Gary.

I was butting lengthwise against a schluter strip which was flush against the tile. I've glued and blind nailed per your advice.

Thanks!
