I was just sanded my 100+ yr. old fir floors and am ready to stain. Unsure of what color is easiest to keep looking nice and clean. The floors are in pretty food shape, but not perfect. What stain color is best for disguising imperfections? I have previosly used jacobean and like it but it shows dust easily. Help me make a decision that works under the described conditions and preferences!

Choose a lighter toned stain to help conceal the inevitable dust that will collect on the floor during daily use. Fir already is a bit of a darker wood so adding even a light stain such as Puritan Pine will look quite dark. Do a test patch first before commiting to staining the entire floor.
