Recently I renovated my farmhouse with select solid white oak wood flooring. I have two dogs one of which is a Golden Lab who has nails like claws and regularly returns home wet from swimming in a pond on our farm. I am wondering if I should just use some type of a sealer as opposed to a final finish of polyurthane in order to avoid scratching and water stains. The oak is hard as a rock. I would appreciate any recommendations as to how to address my particular situation. Thanks.
