Hello All -

New here. Our basement got flooded and we ended up removing the wood floor and had tile laid down.
New white oak stairs are coming in. I'm looking to seal/stain the stair treads and riser.
Do you use the same *sealer* for handrails and balusters ?

I'm looking at Bon Kemi Mega or Basic Street Shoes.
How would you *stain* the white oak to give it a medium color to match the tiles flooring.

This is the coloration of the finished floor

Well the look for your wood grain tiles ( that is what is pictured here right?) is plain sawn not quarter sawn. The look on qtr'd is going to be different no matter what you do. However you can get the tonality similar. You are going to stain first then seal. To match this you can use a dura seal color wheel. Available just about everywhere.
