Somebody please help me. I have just finished a 240 sq ft living room. I installed a 3-1/4" red oak. However, I noticed some gaps of 1/8" here and there all over the floor. I was thinking of removing some of these planks and reinstall them. Money and time is not on my side right now. I know I can trowel fill the gaps, but I am concern about the trowel filler popping out down the road. How long does is takes for these fillers to start popping out. And if they do, what is the resolution to that?

The floor is shrinking due to loss of humidity. I would putty here and there but not trowel fill. Most likely the floor will go back in the summer.
