I purchased brazilian cherry shorts from 5 inches wide with piecies from 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 3, 4, 5, 6, 7' peices from Lumber Liquidators. I received my order in 2 parts. The first shipment I received had beveled edges and the second was not. I installed the floor regardless around 380 sf. As I was installing I came into the problem of spaces in some areas of the floor. My question is will I be able to fill the gaps with a wood filler to remove the bevel prior to sanding and appling poly finish?

Do you recomend any particular brand or type (Oil or water based) for a first timer?

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Filler won't work, that much filler would never stay put. I guess you could sand down way more than usual to eliminate the bevels.

I saw the wordgaps, not bevels. Now I see you need both.

Bevels ar not to be filled.

So I would need to sand down the bevel and fill th gaps with filler.
Will It come in the same color as the wood?

Pretty much. That is how your going to get past the bevel. You can get color match filler. You may have to blend some colors to get it perfect. It dries a liter color! Woodwise has a good selection.

Sounds like you made a lot of work, and are going to need to lose a lot of sandable surface, just by going cheap on price, from LL
