1. How thick is #15 felt paper.

2. If placed on top of a ply subfloor and under a solid nailed product does it assist in reducing squeeks?

That is one of the claims. It is typically understood that a direct wood to wood connection has the potential for squeaking. And the felt can aid in reducing that possibility.
