Hi. Thanks in advance for your helpful advice. For face-nailing Brazilian Walnut (ipe) 3/4", what nails should I use? I have seen some website mention 6D or 8D flooring nails? Is this the right one? Where can I get it? Does normal mom and pop stores like Home depot and lowes carry that? Or can I buy it at some web sites?

I will be pre-drilling the hole.

True flooring nails can be antique cut nails (few use those except for renovations) or spiral shank, hand driven, flooring nails like these:

Thanks. Anything else that will work if I do not get it locally? The website lists prices for 50 lbs. I will go and check at lowes today to see if it is available. Looks like lowes sells these maze nails.

You can use a standard 8d finish nail with a smooth shaft.
