I am laying 3/4" Braz Cherry in 3" widths.

They will run parallel with about 5' opening to my kitchen which is tiled.

How much of a gap do I need to leave for expansion here?

The BR111 instructions say 1/2" but I am afraid that won't look to good. I was hoping that many people would tell me that 1/4" will work and then I'll use grout matching caulk to fill the gap.

Please advise.

"T" molding, with the required expansion gap.
