Hey Everyone,

Im going to buy new equipment. Any suggestions as far as brand/models. I am currently just refinishing/patching floors. I have been using an EZ-8 and Super 7 with a FM1700 as a buffer. I finally am upgrading all three and wanted to bounce this off you all before I make any final purchases.

Thanks!
Tommy

I wouldnt let go of the super 7 or the buffer. The ez 8 has its uses also, I know guys who use them on porches subfloors and the like. The main thing I would suggest is buying a hummel. Ive bought and sold a ton of used equipment over the years and the thing you can always git rid of in a hurry is a good used hummel. They do require maintenance like any machine that is the key to getting a good one is finding one that someone has done the maintenance on. Most used sanders could use new Guide bearings, new wheels, and a new upper roller sleeve. thats 6-7 hundred in parts fyi.
