I am starting my own business and am having trouble finding equipment suppliers who will quote me prices. Still working for present boss and have not told him of my plans yet. They seem to want to know alot (i.e., name of business, who I worked for before, etc). Any suggestions? Is there a trick to it? Why are they so "secretive" with the prices, etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

did they give you an applicatiton?..COD or credit, you usally have o fill out the ap'..they are always kinda secrettive until your account is setup..once your set up you too will not want anyone knowing what you can buy materials for...they only want thier account holders privy to this info..

Thank you, this is what I was hoping someone would say. Calling the suppliers in the morning!
