When installing a floating floor using an engineered wood flooring, should the floor be installed under the threshold of the front door? Or should it end with an expansion joint and some type of finishing strip? We haven't found a "reducing" threshold that would fit over the floor. But it seems awkward to have to have a T type peice and the threshold. All examples I find show interior doors, not exterior examples. Also have a large slider that needs a finish piece.

Thanks for any advice.
