I am considering putting Kahrs Spirit (3/8" thick, 1/64" wood veneer) line in my three season porch. During the winter we close off the room and turn off the heat. Will this floor suffer any negative effects from the extreme cold of the winter. Hard to say exactly how cold it could get in this room but probably safe to say that it could hit as low as 10F? It does get colder here but this room is insulated and attached to the heated living space. So it doesn't experience true ambient temperatures. Is the "operating" temperature range of the wood a normal specification for engineered/laminate floors or does it even matter?

Thanks
Bob

It ain't going to be pretty lets put it that way. Anything beside tile will take a huge beating, especially wood. I'd go with one of the newer wood like porcelain tiles.
