Hello Everyone, we bought a home about 3 yrs ago with lovely Engineered hardwood floors. we noticed that we have an area of about 4 to 5 boards that are starting to lift up. i read where if they didn't have enough space to expand they could do that so i removed the quarter round near a the glass door where this is happening and noticed there isn't enough space so this weekend ill be giving it that space my question is this floor looks like it was glued down will i need to glue it back down and if so how can i do that without having to remove boards. if i step on the area the boards go down but obviously come back up because of the no room to expand. and also what can i use near the glass door to prevent any moisture that may be getting in. thanks for the help

Those sliding glass door frames are the worst as far as keeping out water. I'd say silicone the outside as well as inside. You can buy a baby threshold to put there but that in itself won't do the trick. I found some screw holes that weren't used when I lifted the glass doors out allowing water to get in instead of the seep holes leading back outside. Crappy installers didn;t even seal underneath either.
