Hey all- I found this resource out just a few days ago, and after reading some of the advice and comments it seems that there are a few knowledgeable people on this sit. :D

I own and operate a small hardwood flooring installation business in the Midwest.I am looking for a simplier or easier way in removing left over staples from engineered flooring installations. I've used big channel-lock pliers to pull these out but it's not time efficient nor easy on the forearms.

I've thought of taking a couple of hammers and welding framing nails to the ends of the claws and trying to leverage them out with that. Anybody have any tips or suggestions??

If they are 18-20 gage staples I use an 8" wide razor scraper with the adjustable handle. Keep the angle real low to the floor and I can chop them off flush. A dull blade works well as it will gouge the plywood less often.
