Engineered wood over 6 year old monolthic slab. I've removed the paint, but there are "humps" that require grinding. It's easy to say, but how? I rented a concrete grinder from Hd that was useless on a smooth finished mono slab, it did not have a diamond cutting surface, anyway, I am thinking about a 7" angle grinder w/a diamond cup grinding wheel Will that work? if not, what exactly will work, 1/4 hump. Location is preventing leveling up to that
Also the wood manufacturer recommends a urethane adhesive. The supply place sold me Mapei ultra bond 980, but the specs say nothing about an 7-8 ply wood. They only list 3-5 ply. I called Mapie and they recommended ultra bond 990, because of the ply(1/2" thick, 3 1/4" wide, and they fact that some pieces are 4 foot in length. BTW they list trowel sizes for engineered wood less than 1/2" and another for wood greater than 1/2", but nothing for 1/2", that's why I called them in the first place.
I personlly don't think it matters, the 980 is listed for engineered wood over 1/2, just a different trowel size needed
I have 4 bedrooms of furniture in the middle of the house, help, wife is starting to get upset, any help is appreciated, more questions to follow
