I want to put down some Robbins 1/2" engineered hardwood flooring in my house. I'm a little nervous about having to use the glue down method (it's going over concrete). I've heard so many things about the difficulty factor involved. Is it something do-able or not? I am a building contractor by trade so I felt like I could handle it, but I'm not sure. Any input?

I am a DIY'er also, I've done tile before and some other projects around the house but I was nervous also. In the end I couldn't be happier with the way my floors turned out. I installed 3/8 engineered over concrete. It's messy I'm not going to lie, but it was a doable project for sure.

The biggest advise I can give is do lots of prep work, floor scraping and leveling. I also dry laid at 1-2 foot section before I started glueing. When in doubt ask lots of questions here, that's what I did.

Floor prep in direct glue down is where most go wrong. Check the slab for moisture, keep a clean rag handy for your hands, dont go cheap on the glue and read all included insructions and warnings from the manufacturer.
