I just purchased a wonderful (new) condo. They refinished the floors before we moved in because they were sratched. The floors are 2/16 engineered maple floors. They look horrible and not like the "as new" we were promised. They are wavy, rippled and a real dissapointment. The sponsor of the unit claimed (they were 3/16 and also) that all sanded floors look like this and that some people prefer this look. Please advise. They used to be shiny & smooth and now they are dull and wavy. Is this normal? I can't believe that it is. Thanks

First, can you post any photos? It would be much easier to comment if we can see what your are describing.
Second, can you clarify the dimensions of the product? Overall thickness vs. veneer thickness? 1/8" (2/16) or 3/16" flooring doesn't sound correct....possibly the veneer, but most engineered floors are going to be a minimum of 3/8" overall thickness.
