I'm getting some engineered hardwood installed (Lauzon). The installer is telling me that it is OK to install engineered over particle board. He said he would not do that with solid, but that engineered should not present a problem. They are going to use an underlayment and they are going to staple the flooring down. I've read the sticky on subfloors, but I'm not sure if that only applies to solid. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks
