What is the best way to close the gap against the wall at the end of a run? I am using a quick grip clamp to push against the wall but is difficult pushing 4in 3/4 red oak. Any help is appreciated!!!

I either use a pull bar or a pry bar. If the board is long enough to stand on, I'll just kick it tight with my tennis shoes.
