I am looking to install a 1300 sq ft good quality engineered hardwood on two levels of the home. My interest is in Santos Mahogany. Due to my budget, I think I will select Elegance brand. I try to find their review, but I can’t get enough information. Dealer said Elegance, Urban Floor, Hallmark, or Max Windsor are same quality of floor. Do you think I should go for it or avoid it?

Your dealer was correct. All 4 are China made products. They all know how to make engineered wood floorings. Which line of their products has a lot to do with the quality you will get. I like the 4mm top layer products from Hallmark.

First of all, I try to get Armstrong Valenza collection - Cabreuva Natural, but they are out of my budget, so, I look up those brands (Elegance, Hallmark, etc). I will look up Hallmark brand.

How about Johnson Forevertuff collection? Is it just marketing gimmick?

How about an American manufacturer that actually states that it is made to American industry standards? If you ever have a problem thats their out. Try Anderson.

"Johnson" is another brand of which most their products are manufactured in China. Again they know how to make good engineeerd floorings with industry standard. As for the Forevertuff collection, please be sure it has a good wear layer. I could not tell on Johnson's Website. Hope you find your favorite flooring.
