Hi guys.
I'm just wondering if you Duraseal has a direct match for Minwax Dark Walnut stain ? Bona's Dark Walnut is much lighter .Not even close really.

I believe it is the exact same. However, if staining anything besides oak I would use the duraseal.

Thanks for the tip .The info I got from my supplier is that the newer Duraseal Quick Coat is the old Carrier that Minwax used to use (500VOC I think)

The bad news is that I figured out that the old floors in the house were popped and then stain was mopped on. I'll have to do the same to make the new stain match. Not much fun. Then again, staining is never fun

In case anyone is interested , I just put a bunch of time into figuring out the duraseal stains. Turns out that their new line of stain is actually called "Quick Coat" It sort of replaces their previous "Quick Dry" stain line.

Duraseal quick Coat is a 500 VOC product which is what Minwax used to be. Minwax quarts are 450 VOC and Minwax gallons are 350 VOC ( I think) Either way, the Duraseal Quick Coat flows the best. So from now on, I'll be using Duraseal Quick Coat instead of Minwax as Duraseal performs a bit better and has all the popular Minwax colors.
