Thanks Stephen
Yup, little felt castors under everything to protect our hard work. Now we're going to install the same hardwood in our hallway, and 3 bedrooms. Although I know in theory that the floor should be installed perpendicular to the floor joists, for cosmetic reaons, we'll be installing the new floor parallel to the joists. Our hallway is rather long, and if I were to lay the hardwood from side to side, it would make the hallway look like a railroad track. We also want a smooth transition into all 3 bedrooms from the hall, with no joints at the door thresholds.
My sub floor is 3/4" plywood, and my joists are 2 x 10" and are 12" center. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks again for the kind words.
