I just about finished my first time installation. 375 SQ Ft Pre finished 3.5" Oak. All that is left is to finish and install the T molding I made. It was a fun project and when I took take back the unused boxex(2) I found out it was on sale and even got credit for the original purchace. Thanks to all who helped with my questions and yes, the shingles don't make a crunching noise after the floor is installed.
Here is a slideshow start to finish

With flooring being discontinued all the time, it would have been to your benefit to keep the 2 cartons not used, just in case there is that unfortunate big scratch, or god forbid, a water leak.

The internet is littered with people trying to find a carton of prefinished flooring that no longer exists. There only alternative is to replace it all with something entirely different, at a big cost, compared to, "if they had only kept a few cartons"
