The best wood is from Canada or North of US.
Look at "WD Flooring". http://wdflooring.com/

You know, it's not about how fancy is the brand or how much money they spend on advertisement.... It's all about where the wood was grown up. In colder environment wood grows slower but it is stronger, heavier, tougher, harder. Think about this.
