Hello. Thank you for the great forum.

I'm installing pre-finished Bamboo over tongue and groove 2x6's.

-I was thinking of using 3/8" ply to even everything out and give a clean install surface. Is there anything wrong with this? How should I fasten it to the subfloor?

-What underlayment should I use? Should I put it between the ply and the subfloor or the ply and the Bamboo?

Thank you. Any advice is most appreciated.

I suggest leveling (flatening) the 2x6 subfloor as well as possible and adding 1/2" plywood CDX grade instead of 3/8". I recommend stapling with a construction stapler and 1&1/4" staples (not those skinny little 1/4" wire staples). You could screw down but that is time consumming. After that, lay your flooring felt on top of the plywood underlayment.
