Hello, we had about 2000 square feet of engineered hardwood flooring installed in the beginning of December. The installer said he could lay the floor flush by undercutting baseboards. This is a tongue and groove floor that is glued to existing concrete. We are not happy with the results and the installer countered that this is a good installation and he expects payment. I documented some of our concerns on a website and am interested in professional opinions, how this can be fixed or if I would be looking at a complete re-install. Here is the link to the website www.tejashardwood.weebly.com

I appreciate any advice and recommendations.

Dietmar

It all can be fixed, sort of. Gaps on long sides might prove to be tricky repair.
Are you keeping the relative humidity up in your house? Low rh can cause some gaps which are normal seasonal gaps.

These gaps were present right after installation... Wood was stored in bedroom for several days. H gaps and lightning pattern. Had also requested one flowing installation throughout all rooms, ended up with transition gaps. I think that is just lazy layout? He blamed it on rooms not being square...
