Hello Everyone,

I currently ripping up some existing carpet, taking out a door way and installing some new hardwood floors standard 3/4" inch Hard Maple 3 1/2" boards.

I have a questions as to which direction I should run the wood as well as the best point to start the first run.

My thoughts would be to run it from the front door straight out to the outside wall with the sliding back door as well the that is the same place where I would start the first run. After nailing the first run add a tongue to the other side of the first board so I can go both direction.

Any help would be great.
