 Post subject: Dips in slab

I'm planning to put down an engineered wood floor over 2 in 1 pad over a slab. Is it okay to use 15# roofing felt for the dips in the slab and should I tape it down with duct tape? Also, does the pad lay perpindicular to the hardwood floor seams?

If the dips are not too bad that will work. Run the foam padding in the same direction as the flooring.
