I just completed my 200 sq ft living room floor with 3 ¼ Pre-finished Brazilian Cherry that was laid straight – Looks awesome. The only problem is it butts up to my front entrance hallway that is 2 ½ white oak – I don’t like the contrast so I’ve decided to tear out the oak and used the B.C. to match.
Question – I saw some pictures on this forum of it laid out on the diagonal – I like the look. Because it would be at the front entrance door, would I lay the board that butts up to the front door straight and the rest on the diagonal or should I picture frame the entire front entrance and fill in on the diagonal? The entrance area is 8’ x 4’
Thanks for all your help – This forum is very helpful for the DIYer.
