Just had a wood floor installed in my home and I am starting to see a problem. Some of the boards look like the top layer is lifting or curling up, mostly on the corners of the wood pieces. You can press the edge down and if you tap it, it sounds hollow. On all the pieces I tested, the tongue and groove had a snug fit. The installation is glue down on concrete slab. I was with the contractor when he tested the moisture levels and everything checked out fine. I was referred to the contractor by a close friend and have seen the work he did at the friends home so I do not suspect the installation. The product is 3/8 engineered cabreuva, from Hoboken's Woods of Distinction, Villa Series II. My home is in Florida.
The contractor old me he thinks the problem is delamination, does anyone have any experience with this problem and/or brand? Any suggestions on who I should go after to get the problem resolved?

Call the manufacturer and file a claim. Sometimes delamination can be moisture related, and sometimes it just wasn't laminated good at the mill.

I have experienced a few floors where the top layer delaminated on a few boards. Rare, but it does happen!
