I have a custy that has an area rug on the
floor. The wood underneath the rug is lighter
than the rest.

Can anyone recommend the best method for making
the floor uniform again.

Remove the rug, and time will even the floor out. How long has the rug been where it is??? It won't even out overnight, but it will eventually gain the same patina.

I dont know for sure. But its been years. The custy wants to sell the house so he wants the floor uniform when he sells.
