OK. I know I said my wife and I were putting in Hickory, but after shopping today we want to go with a darker wood. Any suggestions? Once again it is a 32' x 28' room that includes the kitchen, dinning, and family rooms. High traffic area. Our cabinets are going to be "Oatmeal Glazed" (kind of an off white with distressing). The walls are going to be an olive green? The one dark wood we both liked was 5" wide 3/4" Golden Teak. Unfortunately, this wood is from everyones favorite shop L.L. We are up for any and all suggestions. Please help us we need to order soon so our house doesn't sit.
