I have done nail down installations before and I always just took a piece of scrap flooring and used it as a spacer by placing my jamb saw on top of it....no problemo...

This is my first glue down and was wondering how much additional depth I should add to account for the glue? 1/8", 1/4"?

The flooring is 3/8" engineered...

About 1/8th of an inch is good. A 1/4 is way to much. You'll find out when you get to the first one. :mrgreen:
