Hello I just had my 850 sqft floors sanded and refinished with bona quick dry stain nutmeg color and bona traffic HD satin. The contract said 1 coat of stain 3 coats of traffic HD. When complete, they said 4.5 gallons of traffic HD were used. When I checked Bona website, that doesn't match with the amount that was supposed to be used (approx 6 gallons).  When I complained they said it's just how they did it with a very thin first two coats and a thicker final coat after abraiding.   I am very concerned that the floors will not hold up and they said if I wanted a 4th coat it will cost $1,500 extra. Not sure how to attach pictures. Please advise if I should try and fight for that extra coat of traffic HD or if I have enough protection with 4.5 gallons.

Traffic ought to hold up well.
