I love the look of Acacia wood! I was extremely excited about installing it into my home. The engineered wood shipment arrived and I picked up a few boxes and I was saddened to see that almost every board has numerous cross-grain scratches in it - oddly enough almost always in groups of three. The manufacturer is telling me that this type of scratching is typical for Acacia yet I can't find any similar scratching in any of their displays or samples or in any online photos. Some of the longer boards have 3 or 4 different instances of these "3-scratch-lines". Is anyone familiar with Acacia and is this type of scratching typical? This wood looks like it was farmed from a 3-toed sloth sanctuary ....feedback please? I posted a video on youtube showing the scratches - http://youtu.be/AR_K7Yf3ZCU

dojnt know what happened there..but I am willing to bet it is Lumber liquidators...we just installed a kitchen and dining room about 3 weeks ago with ACACIA>>> AND THE MATERIALS WERE SUPPLIED BY OWNER AND WERE LL materials..area was about
550 sf...these marks were not present...

truth be told, i was expecting to have a problem with the materials and charged accordingly..job went smooth and
for this rare occasion, we hit a homerun..

looks just like the "added character marks" you get in many distressed floors. Some are just scraped some are scraped and distressed and some are just distressed. someone got confused on what they were suppose to be doing that day. There is one scratch you show (the non uniform white one) that is from something else.
