How current are your installation cost estimates? I have decided on a floor, Ecotimber Woven Bamboo, and the flooring contractor has just given us a bid for labor only that is more than the cost of the flooring itself. Not including the glue, moisture test, trim, underlayment etc. Is this realistic? I am looking for installation on concrete in San Diego, CA area.

Being that bamboo floors can be quite inexpensive, labour costs could indeed be more than material costs.
There are a lot of site factors that will impact a proper installation rate. No details on the job were provided, so I for one would not even guess at a valid labour estimate

650sf, level ground concrete floor. Previously had carpeting. Price of bamboo $5.60sf, price of install $6.00sf, does not include prep work or any materials. No stairs. covers living, dining, family rooms all one level.

Cost of living is higher in your area. Go with the highest bidder. Stranded is a PITA to install glued down.

I'm familiar with So.Cal pricing, and install Strand all the time. It should be at 3.00-3.50 per sq. ft. ( That's just installing the wood ( no adh., prep, etc, etc )

Out here in Massachusetts I charge $3.50 for a straight glue down labor only.

The $6.00 a ft. labor rate is somewhat high. However, HD quotes $5.50 + extras for it's installs and Lowe's quotes $6.15 + extras. The adhesive, if included, is expensive. Plus the contractor maybe including a moisture blocker like MVP. If he is including a moisture blocker and the adhesive, then $6.00 a ft. is not completely unreasonable, IMO. BTW, LL up here quotes 5 to 6 a ft. to all it's clients as well.

Probably a great time to buy a house up there too while you're at it.
