This is something I don't really do so I found it to be pretty educational and cool. Some of you guys like Stephen already work on slabs regularly so it would be good to hear what you think .

Ive seen this guy before..he a rogue Mike Holmes type..claims to be an innovator in dust free tile removal yet uses CDC Pulse Bac vacs..he claims he has modified them to a higher performance than factory manufacture..he charges $9000 for "attachment" he designed that fits on any Bosch rotary hammer drill.

by the time he done he got you for 20.000 for equipment that costs a third of that.

he mt friend is a sheister.

I respect the detail but a 5 day prep on a slab approx 4-500 sf?

the people paid more flolor a "perfect flat floor" than the floor itself and in reality who really does this?

get it within tolerance and most are happy.hell most dont even want minimal prep..they just want a floor..all the extra bells and whistles are just large numbers many to mot dont want..

22 bags of leveler? $1200 in leveler alone..then labor for 5 days..this guys is a quack in my book..a mike holmes wannabe

I've seen that before. Jack King has probably made a great market for himself with his YouTube channel, but in the beginning it appears he's leveling the floor opposed to reaching flatness standards. I can see it for stone floors but hardwood? Otherwise not bad in so far as the installation, but have to wonder why the adhesive line goes over the backer area. One extra cleanup step that could have been avoided. Nice looking final product!

He may be a sales man but it's interesting to me to see what it takes to get a slab perfect as I don't have that expertise. As far as the time and cost, I agree , it is way up there and very few clients will fork over that kind of money. But when they do , I can't blame him for depositing the checks.

its actually a good system he came up with..but its just an engineered strait edge product in the end.

I do the same cutting 2x4's to fit the profile or the deviations and what needs to be brought to level.

he did get it perfect but 5 days?

job was like 400 sf

thats bill would be huge..

i was little harsh on him..but one video I saw he went on to someone else's job and filmed them ..I didn't like that..all in trying to promote himself
and his rip off products.

I went down to Georgia and took the Mapei Class and got certified in their products.
Interesting to note that there are some things in that video that my instructors said was not suitable. I am not saying that it doesn't work for him It appeared to be a good looking floor when he was done. However if you are going to put yourself out there as the best I would think you would follow the companies instructions to a particular degree.
